trying
to stop drinking", or "I could go for a drink." Instead, focus on
positive self-empowering statements, such as "I don't drink alcohol
because I want to be healthy", "I've decided to cut back on my
drinking", "I don't need to drink alcohol", or "I have more money now
that I don't drink."
Sunshine Superman The sad part about drinking alcohol is that, while you're drinking it, you don't realize how much it's numbing life. Even the
little things of life, like taking a walk and feeling the sun upon your face, are numbed down to the point where they simply
don't have as much meaning as they should. It's only when one sobers-up that you realize how much damage alcohol has done to your awareness.
100 Days of Sobriety I have noticed a remarkable difference in how I feel without alcohol in
my body. I no longer have daily headaches or nightly stomach aches, and
my overall energy level is not only much higher, but it is much more
consistent throughout the day.
Why I Stopped Drinking Alcohol We all have areas of our lives that need changing for the better, and
some of us are more successful at change than are others. If you, or
someone you know, is struggling with an alcohol addiction - and
simultaneously trying to be a
better person - then you can rest assured that it is the
alcohol that is preventing you from
becoming that better person.
